Mrs Hasbrouck - Teacher"The impact from our visit to Generation Wild at Slimbridge has been growing steadily. Lots of children are taking it upon themselves to notice and interact with nature and bringing their observations to our class. Some children have been sketching wild birds and researching their habitats and brought this to share at Show and Tell. Other children were excited to share a trip to Devon they were going on together to do tree planting. We have been observing the weather more closely as a class and exploring areas that would make good habitats for bugs and birds in our playground.
The experience has encouraged the class to think about how they feel connected to nature and notice nature more closely. We have spoken at length about how feeling connected to nature and spending time observing it can have a positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing.
