"Generation Wild is an amazing project that fits all children and definitely fits into our schools outdoor learning, core values and Ethos. Outdoor learning is like a magic tool that supports our children's mental health and well being and also gives them the skills to build on through out their lives to become the best that they can be.To our school the Gen Wild project links to a lot of our curriculum, such as: Life Skills, learning through story and puppet animation, Geography for map reading and spacial awareness, Science fore Avas story and all the birds an Otters at the centre. The tasks and Guardians activities us many of our core values, such as: creativity, enquirers, thinkers, team work, communication, curiosity, fun, resilience and respect of themselves, each other and our natural world. This is to list a few.
Watching our children thrive whilst they explore new environments, different places and tasks is priceless, using their resilience to the full at times, but being open enough to enjoy every moment is like magic.
Due to the diversity of our school, many of our children would never get the opportunity to experience what the Gen Wild project brings them. This being the first opportunity for many to have a hands on outdoor, outside of school experience opening up and involving nature and our natural world around us for them to learning new skills and open doors to want more."
