Some of the activities from the pupils of St Chad's:

Made bird feeders from pine cones and lard/seed mix and hung around the school.

Took part in the Big bird school watch and looked at the variety of birds coming into our school.

Took part in the big school clean up in an attempt to keep our school grounds litter free to encourage more wildlife and protect them from litter .

Planted coriander, tomatoes and potatoes.

Tried a 'no dig' approach in our school raised beds- ready to plant new veg when they are ready from seed.

Went on a 'bug hunt' seeing where we could find creatures in our school grounds - habitats.

Planted seeds and some plants in pots and wheel barrows to encourage pollinators to our school grounds.

Made our own bug hotels from things in our school.

Made pictures from nature- using natural resources that we found in our school grounds we created art work.

Put out a hedgehog house.
