Generation Wild at Longshaw Junior School

Thank you so much for our recent visit to Martin Mere. We had a wonderful day and we hope to return next year.

Following our visit to Martin Mere, the children have shown a remarkable enthusiasm for engaging with the nature activities. We completed several nature activities as a class and we really enjoyed cloud-spotting, bare feet walking and rolling down our grassy hill. We also listened to nature in our Wild Life Garden and in class a group of children when playing with the Lego made a bird's nest. It has been a delight to hear the children share the nature activities they completed at home.

I did the activities with my family. They were really fun and we enjoyed them. My favourite was making a nest in my local park using sticks and leaves. Many children went to Martin Mere with their families too. I think the trip has had a positive impact on the children and families at our school. They all preferred their day at Martin Mere than our earlier trip to Blackpool Zoo so thanks again for a brilliant day out.

Miss Allen.
